Rocket Burger & Subs ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or place an order with us. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
When you place an order: your name, phone number, email address, the items you ordered, and anything you type into the special instructions box, which includes allergy notes. If curbside pickup is offered and you choose it, we also collect the car description you provide and the time you tap the arrival link. If delivery is offered and you choose it, we collect the delivery address.
When you contact us: the contact form opens your own email app. The message reaches us as an ordinary email, and the website itself stores nothing from it.
Automatically: your IP address, used briefly to limit how often a single visitor can submit orders or login attempts, and basic technical details about your browser and device recorded when you reach the payment step, so we can tell whether a payment method failed. We never record what you type into the payment fields.
We do not collect your card number. See Payment Security below.
How We Use Your Information
We use what we collect to prepare and hand over your order, to reach you about that order by phone or email if there is a question about it, to answer questions you send us, and to understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not run a marketing email list, and we do not send text messages.
One thing we do want to be plain about: we advertise online, and when an order is completed our website reports the order total and an order reference number to Google so we can tell which ads actually lead to orders. That report does not include your name, phone number, or email address. See Cookies, Analytics and Advertising below.
Payment Security
All payment transactions are processed through Clover, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Your credit card information is encrypted and transmitted directly to Clover. We never see, store, or have access to your full card number, CVV, or expiration date. Clover's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
Advertising. We use Google Ads. A Google advertising tag loads on every page of this site and sets cookies in your browser. It records the pages you visit here, the site you arrived from, and your IP address, and when you complete an order it reports the order total and an order reference number so we can measure which ads lead to orders. It does not receive your name, phone number, or email address, and it cannot read what you type into a form. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy. You can limit ad personalisation in your Google account settings, and browser settings or an ad blocker will stop the tag from loading.
Website analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. We chose it specifically because it sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you.
Maps. Our Contact Us page includes a Google map. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information.
Information Stored On Your Device
Some things are saved in your own browser and are never sent to us. Your cart and your saved favourites. If you tick the box to remember your details at checkout, your name, phone number and email address are saved on that device so you do not have to type them again. Your receipt screen also holds the last four digits of your card until you close the tab.
Clearing your browser data removes all of it. Unticking the remember box stops your details being saved. Because this data lives on your device rather than ours, we cannot see it or delete it for you.
Data Retention
Our website keeps only the most recent 200 online orders. When a new order arrives, the oldest one is removed automatically. At our current online order volume that works out to roughly six months, and it will be longer if online ordering is quiet.
IP addresses used for rate limiting are discarded within minutes. Records created in Clover, and information already reported to Google, are kept under those companies own policies and are outside our control.
Your Choices and Your Rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details at the bottom of this page and we will respond within 30 days.
We want to be honest about what a deletion request can reach. We can delete the order record held by this website. We cannot delete the matching sales record inside Clover through this website, we cannot remove information already reported to Google, and we cannot clear data saved in your own browser. Sales records are also kept where we are required to keep them for tax and accounting purposes.
How We Protect Your Information
Card details never reach our systems. The staff ordering board is password protected, refunds require a second staff code, and staff sessions expire automatically. Traffic to this website is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but if a breach affecting your personal information occurs we will notify you as required by Arizona law.
Children's Privacy
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
When We May Share Information
Beyond the service providers named above, we may disclose information if we are required to by law, a subpoena, or a lawful request from public authorities, or where we need to in order to protect our rights, our staff, or the safety of others. If the restaurant is ever sold or transferred, customer information may transfer as part of that business.
Companies That Handle Data For Us
Clover processes card payments and holds the order record for our register and kitchen. Upstash hosts the database our website stores orders in. Vercel hosts the website, stores menu photos, and provides our cookieless analytics. Google provides our advertising measurement and the map on the Contact Us page.
Our website also links to Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub. If you order through one of those platforms you are their customer for that order, their own privacy policy applies, and we do not control how they handle your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
